Iconic and breathtaking, Leonardo Da Vinci's Last Supperwas created between 1494 and 1947 for the artist's patron Duke Ludovico Sforza. The mural painting is preserved in the refectory of the convent annexed to the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Having survived the World War II bombing and due to the fragile nature of the pigments employed, this precious fresco depicting Jesus' announcement of betrayal is kept under tightly controlled conditions.
